The Teachings of Divine Love

What is Divine Love?

Love is most thought of in the world as an emotion, but is Love an emotion? Or, is Love something much greater than that which can also be expressed in varying degrees through the emotions? Falling in love describes an emotional state that is an effect of a greater cause. The type of effect it has in different people, and at different times, will be dependent then upon the condition and quality of the emotional nature. When we clear the choppy ocean of emotion into mirror-glass smooth reflectivity, the quality of Love reflected through us can be an undistorted reflection of Love Divine.  

"God is Love" is a basic tenet held in common by the religions of the world. But, what IS Love? If God IS Love, then Love is a state of Being. If God, the Creator, is Divine, then so, too, is Love Divine, and to "return to God" would be to return to Love. 

Love is the basic Principle, or Law, of the Universe.  Many spiritual Teachers have advised us to love our neighbors as ourselves. The Law of Love is the First Cause, all other Law is subsidiary to the Law of Love. Love is the "All in One" and the "One in All." If we "obey" the Law of Love, no other Law is needed. Universal Law is Divine in nature and origin and Love is the first Divine Law. Perhaps one way the Law of Love could be stated to us is: "Ye Be Love, so Be Ye Love, So Be It!"  

Divine Love is expressed as that magnetic, attractive, cohesive force which draws All unto Itself. Divine Love, all encompassing in consciousness includes the Whole in each Consideration. There is more there, in this Consideration, than our limited human minds can encompass! We can, though, begin to grasp some idea of this unconditionally All Inclusive state of Being. As we do begin to grasp some idea of Divine Love, that bit of idea itself will have some of the magnetic attractive quality of Divine Love, drawing more unto itself. The effect, then, is cumulative; the more we grasp, the more we can grasp, and come to know, become, then be One with Love.  

The first "rule" in responsiveness to Divine Love is harmlessness: harmlessness in thought and word and deed. The first sign that a person is responding to Divine Love is in the establishment of an ever growing, ever more inclusive sense of responsibility: for the self, the family, the community, the nation, the world...  

From the Point of Light within the Mind of God, let Light stream forth into human minds, let Light descend on Earth.   From the Point of Love within the Heart of God, let Love stream forth into human hearts, may the Coming One return to Earth.  From the center where the Will of God is known, let Purpose guide all little human wills, the Purpose which the Masters know and serve.  From the center which we call the human race, let the Plan of Love, and Light work out, and may it seal the door where evil dwells.  Let Light, and Love, and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
